Hepatologist-Therapist
I have been in medicine since 2003 and graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Azerbaijan Medical University in 2005. Today I see patients in Baku, at Medikus Clinic, as a hepatologist-therapist: viral hepatitis, autoimmune and toxic hepatitis, fatty liver disease and cirrhosis. Two things matter most in my work. The first is an accurate diagnosis: normal test results do not yet mean the liver is healthy, so I assess its condition with elastometry, without a biopsy. The second is not to rush: not every virus found requires immediate treatment, and medicines started without a doctor's supervision can harm the liver. I am a member of the EASL and APASL associations and take part in international conferences regularly.
