Elastography has a very significant outcome and great importance in the differentiation of fatty liver disease, that is, in determining whether or not fibrosis is present in the patient. Fatty liver disease can also be accompanied by fibrosis, and there is perhaps no alternative method to the elastometry device to make this differentiation.
